We all signed up for leg # 3
Cairns to Darwin
and out to "Sea"!
with the Ar Seiz Avel theme song
"La Gardenia Para Ti"
Things went smoothly
except for the waves
and Jeans head was over the side
for the first couple of days.
We learned the ropes
I mean the sheets
while Josie performed
fabulous gourmet feats!
And Rick was in awe
of Mary's brilliant chatter
and even with Josie's cooking
none of us got any fatter!
And Dave was catching satellites
on his GPS
And sorting through the garbage
Yuk!... what a mess.
Paul was kept busy
fixing what we broke
we won't mention the items
But I bet he could've used a toke
The anchorages, the Islands
night watches, the feeling of being free
except for rowing that
Now everyone fill in the blank......
Inflatable Dinghy.
We're getting close to Darwin
our beings so full of the Sea
now will someone please put on the CD
"La Gardenia Para Ti"
But wait this poem's not over
till verse # 10
there's is a million words left
in this little writing pen
But why don't we all just sit silently and Smile
and think of the favorite memories
of this Sea voyage of 1400 miles.
