After we had our fill of Dutch treats
and Rembrandt paintings we leave Ijmuiden harbour as we are setting of into the North Sea. The English channel lies ahead of us. Here we will have to dodge many freighters and other traffic. A very sharp look out will be our main priority. Enroute we may anchor of the British and French coastlines to do some exploring and sightseeing. After that we point our bow towards the N.W coast of Spain crossing the notorious Bay of Biscay. This coast line is absolutely stunningly beautiful, offering  many off the beaten track places to visit and plenty secluded anchorages. Enjoy the many white sand beaches and warm blue ocean to swim in. It will be off season and should not be very busy at all. An exciting sail along The Portuguese coast will get us to our final destination.

Lisbon is a bustling city and offers all the amenities a long distance sailor could dream off.
